The Repotting
Well I have repotted one of the Bonsai’s, what can I say, no guide could have prepared me for the sheer mess that was created and the time it took to get those roots untangled, haha, tricky little buggers those bonsai’s. There were so many roots that it was nigh on impossible to get the soil removed by hand alone, so I resorted to a bucket of water and a sharp pokey object, namely a skewer. Even this and an extra pair of hands couldn’t speed things up, but eventually it was done, then was just a case of trimming the roots and planting in it’s new pot and giving it a litle trim on top. Simple right? well, after putting it in it’s new home, I set to work pruning it back a little. I didn’t know a damn thing so just went at it like Edward Scissorhands, finished article not quite as good but it’s not half bad for someone who’s as subtle as a brick.
Now only time will tell if I have done it right, if I wake up one day and it seems a little lacking on the leaves, well that will pretty much say it all.
